Dear Parents, Priests, Staff and Students,
Over the past two evenings and tonight a number of children from our school have or will have received the Sacrament of First Eucharist.
We congratulate all the candidates and pray that they continue to develop their understanding of this special sacrament as they continue on their faith journey.
Well done all !!
I would like to thank all those who took the time to contribute to my recent appraisal. The appraisal process will highlight area of strengths and areas for growth in my Principalship. Thank you again!
Dear Parents,
During Term 4 on 22nd Ocotober, Mrs Christine Mulherin will be involved in an Assistant Principal appraisal process as part of her contract conditions with the Catholic Schools Office.
The appraisal process seeks information from a variety of people associated with the parish school. The process aims to highlight the positive aspects of the assistant principal's performance and identify areas for further development.
A timeline will be constructed to suit the needs of the parish school community. A panel consisting of the school Principal as Chair, a School Service Consultant and a staff member from Human Services at the Catholc Schools Office will conduct the appraisal.
The full assistant principal appraisal process involves:
- a survey and self-appraisal statement completed by the assistant principal
- surveys of parish school staff, Catholic Schools Office personnel
- an interview with the principal
- input as arranged with parish priest
- interviews with parish school staff
- interviews with any parents who wish to present
- a formal interview with the assistant principal by the panel
Any parents who wish to make contact with the panel are welcome to do so by contacting the Principal before the appraisal date.
Thank you for you support of the parish school's administration team.
Yours sincerely,
Tony Boyle
Principal
Well, Well, Well!!
What a morning we had yesterday hosting the Weather bulletins for Channel 7's Morning Show, 'Sunrise'. I would like to thank all families who arranged to have their children at school early to fit in with the production schedule. A special thank you to all staff who attended from 5.15am.
It was a fantastic opportunity to highlight our wonderful school and the people in it.

Our Igloo started as a project the whole school could do together after lockdown.
The children collected 2 litre milk bottles and Mr Wilson and Year 6 sterilised them all.
It has taken 387 bottles to complete a fun space to read in.
Winner of How Many Cans in th Trolley Competition
- LILY-GRACE KEMBREY IN 5M with a guess of 793! The total number of cans collected was 794. Fabulous guess Lily-Grace!!
This term the Indigenous Yarn Up Group has been meeting every second week to work on the importance of NAIDOC Week 2020. The theme this year is 'Always was Always will be'. As you maybe aware, due to COVID-19 this year NAIDOC Week celebrations have been moved to November and the children have been working on their connection to:
- Culture
- Land/Sea
- Family/Connections
- Spirituality
All encompassing this year's NAIDOC theme. Kimberely Mooney one of our beautiful indigenous parents has been a wonderful mentor with our children and has been helping them to use symbols to create stories with our Australian animals (as seen in picture).
Earlier in the year each classroom held a prepared NAIDOC Liturgy to comply with the current restrictions. We look forward to sharing the final results of the stories which our children have been working on, in November.
A special thanks to Mrs Cheryl Tilley for this picture.

Year 6 students are enjoying using the new ping pong tables each lunchtime. Maybe we will have a future olmypian amongst them !!!!!!
PBS FOCUS FOR THIS WEEK IS: USING TECHNOLOGY APPROPRIATELY
Thought for the week
“A day is wasted if you don’t reflect on it. Reflecting on your day takes 60 seconds.”
