Term 3 Week 6
Dear Parents, Priests, Staff and Students,
On Monday 7th, Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th of September several of our students will join other Parish children in making the Sacrament of First Eucharist. Due to Covid restrictions the children have to be divided into 3 smaller groups. I would ask that you keep the candidates in your thoughts and prayers as they take this important step in their faith journey.
Have a great week !!
Tony Boyle
Principal
As previously advised my appraisal as Principal of Saint Joseph's will be held on Monday September 7th. An external panel from the Catholic Schools Office, Lismore will interview staff, students and any parents who would like to meet with them.
If you are interested in meeting with the panel please contact Christine Mulherin (Assistant Principal) who will be organising the timetable for the day.
As previously advised any student or staff member exhibiting even mild flu like systems are to undertake a Covid test and remain at home until a negative result has come back. You will need to provide a copy of this negative result to be allowed back to school.
Thank you for your anticipated co-operation in this important health issue.
Year 2 joined together on the 14th August to celebrate a liturgy focused on “Loving One Another”. This important commandment has been embedded in the student’s Religion lessons and is reflected upon regularly in our school through our Making Jesus Real (MJR) program. The children thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to participate through writing their own prayer on a heart and joining in reflective songs.

A Father's Day Stall will be held next week with gifts priced at $5 and $10. Sample gifts will be on display so the children can choose and then they can bring the right amount of money to purchase the gift for dad later in the week.
I hope all our Dads have a wonderful day with their families on Sunday the 6th September. Unfortunately due to Covid restrictions we are unable to hold our Annual Father's Day Liturgy and Sausage Sizzle Lunch.
Have a great day Dads !!!!!
